Prince of Wales: Prince Charles got effected by Coronavirus in Clarence House, London
Prince Charles has been tested Positive for Coronavirus being reported by Clarence House on Wednesday.
The 71-year-old Prince of Wales was diagnosed with the communicable disease after developing 'mild' symptoms, consistent with a press release released by Clarence House.
The heir to the throne has been under self-isolation in Scotland since the outbreak of the disease and is claimed to be “in good health” otherwise.
The Prince has tested positive for coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in healthiness and has been performing from home throughout a previous couple of days as was common,” the statement read.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, had also undergone tests for COVID-19 but was confirmed negative.
"The tests were taken in Aberdeenshire by the NHS, where they met the requirements for testing. it couldn't be determined that from whom the Prince caught the disease as he had a huge number of meetups, he participated in his public role during recent weeks,” the statement added.
The British royalty member had met with Prince Albert of Monaco earlier in March, who tested positive only nine days after meeting Charles at a WaterAid event in London.
Queen Elizabeth was confirmed by Buckingham Palace to be in healthiness. She had last met together with her son on March 12.
Charles has already avoided shaking hands with the people during his engagements and had instead resorted to India's namaste gesture.
He has become the primary of British royalty to be diagnosed with COVID-19 and also falls at greater risk, due to his age.
